Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5’s first live image shows a leak.

After numerous leaked renderings over the previous few weeks, we may have recently seen an actual Galaxy Z Flip 5 for the first time. What looks to be the following Samsung foldable is shown wrapped in a hard protective cover in a picture posted on Twitter by @Tech_Reve. It is evident from the sizeable folder-like cover display.

Who took this picture, where it was born, and when it was taken are all unknown. However, it might have been a Samsung official trying out the upcoming, undisclosed product. The corporation conducted numerous leadership meetings last week to discuss business ideas, and the picture surfaced soon after. Some of the meeting participants may have brought the future foldable with them.

A BMW keyfob next to the device indicates recent collaborations between the Korean company and the German automaker. The case also doesn’t fit the phone correctly, which suggests that it was made to conceal the foldable from view before its launch. However, the leaked live image shows a few details about the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It verifies the presence of two rear-facing cameras above the folder-shaped cover display, along with a nearby LED flash unit.

A circular clock is displayed on the external screen, which is in Always-On Display (AOD) mode. The power key on the right side of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. On either side of this multi-purpose key are volume rockers. The device has flat sides and a flat hinge. According to rumours, Samsung has this year turned to a new waterdrop-style hinge. It enables the foldable to shut entirely and correctly when folded.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 by Samsung also has a similar hinge feature. The modification allowed lightening and thinnish of the device’s body slightly. The Galaxy foldable from 2023 might not include many more significant improvements. If rumours are to be believed, it has the same display, cameras, battery life, and charging speed as last year. The only notable improvements are the hinge and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “for Galaxy” CPU.

During Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 27, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will make their debuts. The company’s home country of South Korea will host the major launch event this year. The Galaxy Tab S9 flagship tablets and the Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches will be available alongside the new foldable. Over the next few weeks, you can anticipate learning more about the future Samsung goods.
